It is funded by employer and employee contributions of 0.2% each, capped at RM5,000 monthly wages.\r\n

Getting to Know How EIS Works\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nThe government rolled out EIS (Employment Insurance System) in<\/span>\u00a02018 following the Employment Insurance System Act 2017<\/span><\/b>. PERKESO has strengthened digital job matching through platforms like MyFutureJobs while expanding access to reskilling programmes aligned with IR4.0, AI adoption, and evolving industry demands. While contribution rates remain unchanged, the system is increasingly focused on long-term career sustainability rather than short-term financial relief.\r\n

5 EIS Perks You Might Not Know About\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

1. Early Re-Employment Allowance (ERA) \u2013 A Bonus for Getting Back to Work Quickly\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nWhen you land a new job while\u00a0you’re\u00a0still getting\u00a0<\/span>Job Search Allowance (JSA),<\/span><\/b>\u00a0EIS gives you a bonus \u2014 not a penalty.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nYou’ll\u00a0get\u00a0<\/span>25% of your leftover JSA money as a one-time cash bonus.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nExample<\/span><\/b>:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nLet’s\u00a0say you were set to receive RM4,000 in total JSA and found a job halfway through.\u00a0You’d\u00a0get\u00a0<\/span>25% of the unused RM2,000 = RM500<\/span><\/b>\u00a0as a lump-sum ERA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nGoal<\/b>:\u00a0This bonus aims to speed up job hunting and help cover costs like transport, childcare, or moving for a new job.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n
